AIG members have an opportunity to express their views on the continued development of the JORC Code through a consultation survey currently collecting feedback. The current code update, the first since 2012, in response to developments in comparable (CRIRSCO) reporting codes internationally and stakeholders requesting improvements in the areas of demonstration of competence and the professional standing of Competent Persons, complaints management, communication of risks inherent in projects, and inclusion of sustainable development issues in public reports. All of these have potentially significant implications for Competent Persons. The forum is intended to facilitate discussions and provide an opportunity for participant to express views for consideration by others.
