Our guest speaker

Kathryn Goodenough

Dr Kathryn Goodenough is a Principal Geologist at the British Geological Survey and Deputy Director, BGS Global. She started her career as a mapping geologist, but has been researching critical metal resources for many years, particularly the rare earth elements, and more recently lithium. She is the Principal Investigator for the LiFT (Lithium for Future Technology) project, funded by the UK’s Natural Environment Research Council. She has worked extensively across Africa, both on critical metals research and in building partnerships with geological surveys. She is also Chief Editor of the new journal Earth Science, Systems and Society, and would welcome contributions!
