Environmental Issues in China


The Global Mining Association of China (GMAC) May monthly meeting will feature a presentation “Environmental Issues in China”, presented by Mr. Jia Feng, Director of Center of Environmental Education & Communications of Ministry of Environmental Protection of China (CEEC).

Mr. Jia’s presentation will focus on:

  • Overview of environmental challenges of air, water and soil.
  • The Chinese government’s response.
  • Challenges that face the Chinese government in dealing these environmental issues in proper way.
  • Business opportunities for managing these environmental issues.
  • Level of awareness of environment protection in government, business and the general public.
  • The pressure that is being applied to consumer behaviours, businesses, and government.
  • Forecast of how the environmental management will impact China, going forward.

This presentation will be in both English and Chinese and at the conclusion of Mr Jia’s presentation there will be an open and forum for discussion through Q&A.
