The AIG Victoria Branch presents…
Saturday 30th April, 2016
Buses depart:
Melbourne (RMIT Melbourne*) 8.30am (returning 6pm)
Bendigo (Marketplace Bendigo*) 9.30am (returning 5pm)
* to be confirmed
We will visit Sanguine Estate, Flynn’s Wines, Whistling Eagle Vineyard and Cornella Ridge Estate.
We will travel to four wineries in the Heathcote Wine Region to study aspects of the terroir of the various vineyards. We will be talking to the winemakers at each location to discuss the important contributors to terroir such as geology, soil, altitude and microclimate, sun aspect, vine selection, trellising and pruning practices, picking parameters (baumé, acidity), picking technique and oenological practices.
The purpose of the tour is:
We would like our members to contribute their geological ideas to these discussions especially since our vigneron friends are as keen to learn from us as we are from them.
The tour includes lunch at Flynn’s Bistro.
AIG, AusIMM & IAH members and partners $90.00
The tour is limited to a maximum of 20 participants due to winery restrictions.
