The AIG submissions provided to the JORC Committee and ASX on proposed changes to the JORC Code and ASX Listing Rules for minerals and petroleum sector companies may be viewed here. Exposure drafts of the JORC Code and ASX Listing Rules were developed following an extensive consultation process with stakeholders earlier this year.
The availability of the exposure drafts was widely publicised, through the AIG web site, email newsletters, the Institute’s Facebook page and the AIG Linkedin Group. Comments and suggestions received from members via these channels were used in preparation of AIG’s response to both exposure drafts.
Both ASX and the JORC Committee plan to release the new versions of the Listing Rules and JORC Code during December. The new version of the JORC Code still requires final approval of the three JORC parent bodies: AusIMM, AIG and the Minerals Council of Australia.
Information regarding the release of the new version of the JORC Code will be provided as it comes to hand during the next few weeks.
