Talk: Archaeology and Mining.

Guadalupe will be talking about her experiences working as a heritage consultant in Australia, particularly in relation to work carried out for the mining industry. This includes exploration surveys, large infrastructure clearances, community engagement and archaeological salvage of significant sites throughout Australia.


Bio

Guadalupe Cincunegui is the Managing Director and Senior Archaeologist at Independent Heritage Consultants Pty Ltd. With more than 18 years working as a professional archaeologist and heritage consultant, Guadalupe has extensive experience in directing both Aboriginal and European projects in South Australia, NSW and Western Australia for, government, mining, renewable energy and the private development industry. Guadalupe specialises in complex cultural heritage assessments, archaeological assessment and excavation programs, heritage management, Aboriginal community engagement , client and government liaison and Aboriginal ancestral remains exhumation, management and repatriation. Guadalupe has also worked extensively as an archaeologist in the Middle East and Gulf states, with excavations in Jordan and the UAE.

In addition Peter Rolley, Exploration Manger Hillgrove Resources Limited will be bringing in some high grade copper drill core from Kanmantoo Deposit and give a brief geology overview.
