Presentation title: Advances in petrological modelling, and relevance to gold


Overview

The talk will discuss the modelling of metamorphic and igneous processes, highlighting some recent developments and their relevance to gold.

Dr Eleanor CR Green

Eleanor tries to understand igneous and metamorphic rocks by quantitatively modelling the processes that formed them. She did her PhD on the thermodynamics of mantle melting at the University of Cambridge, and is current a senior lecturer at the University of Melbourne, where she works with Emeritus Prof Roger Powell.
