Each module is presented as two half-day sessions.

This course is primarily aimed at geologists who have recently been appointed as an Exploration Manager, or anyone who aspires to become an Exploration Manager within the next few years.  It will also serve as a useful introduction to the business of mineral exploration for any non-technical professionals who track the activities of mineral explorers in the market, or others who work in the industry.

 

Course Leader: Nick Franey

Nick has a broad range of exploration management experience, at grassroots and advanced project level, and in the multi-national, mid- and junior-tier sectors. He has searched for most types of gold and base metal deposits in a variety of geological terranes, and in more than 15 countries and on three continents.

The Financial Analysis of Companies

  • Basic accounting & income statement, balance sheet and cashflow)
  • Financial ratios
  • Example of company analyses
