Seminar details

The AIG Qld branch and the AIG National Graduate Committee is hosting the next Friday Seminar on Friday 20 May. The theme for the seminar is “Geoemployment in turbulent times – options and opportunities in good times and bad” and will include more than 15 presentations on topics such as:

  • Geoscience employment trends
  • Rights and responsibilities of employers and employees
  • Developing your career profile
  • Advantages and disadvantages of different employment options
  • Results from the AIG National Graduate Group Geoscience Survey
  • Mentoring
  • The role of the different geoscience organisations
  • AIG and AusIMM ethical considerations and complaints processes
  • My story – personal case studies
  • Open forum to conclude the seminar

The seminar is aimed at all geoscientists, but will really benefit students, graduates, underemployed and unemployed geoscientists. Registration for the seminar is now open.
