ASEG Queensland Branch meeting for August 2015.

Talk to be presented by Emma Brand

About the Speaker:

After graduating from UQ in 2003, with a BSc. (exploration geophysics) and BSc. Hons., Emma spent a year working for G-tek (now Gap Geophysics) searching for mineral deposits in remote WA and unexploded ordnance in the US before making a move into the oil and gas business with Origin. She worked at Origin as a QI geophysicist for almost four years, performing AVO analysis, seismic inversion and velocity modeling.  In 2008 she took the plunge and headed overseas to undertake her master’s at Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada after which she worked for almost four years at BP in Alaska interpreting seismic data, building static models, and planning and executing wells.  In late 2014 she return to Australia to work again for Origin, this time as their marine seismic project manager.

The talk will be held in the cinema, upstairs behind the restaurant and bar.

Please RSVP to Megan Nightingale by 5:00pm, Thursday 20th August.
