Ed Bunker, CGG
Ed is a mineral exploration geologist at CGG. He studied Earth Science at Oxford University and graduated after a master’s where he studied epithermal gold systems in Serbia. He then completed a PhD at Bristol University on the Hypogene evolution of the Spence porphyry copper deposit in Chile in collaboration with BHP.
Before joining CGG, Ed briefly worked for the Geological survey of Ireland where he contributed to regional exploration projects for lead-zinc systems. At CGG, Ed’s current focus is on the development of global- to regional-scale exploration tools for a range of mineral systems, with a particular focus on energy transition metals such as lithium.
