Michael Agnew

After completing his PhD project on the Lewis Ponds carbonate- and volcanic-hosted massive sulphide deposit at CODES, University of Tasmania, Michael worked on early to advanced gold and base metal exploration projects in Australia, Solomon Islands and Colombia with Anglo American, Anglogold Ashanti and other companies. He contributed to resource delineation of the Myrtle sediment-hosted zinc-lead deposit, Northern Territory and Golden Delicious lode gold deposit, Western Australia and recently was part of the discovery team of the Cayley Lode epithermal copper deposit in Western Victoria. He is a Registered Professional Geologist with the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and serves on the Society of Economic Geologists’ Foundation Student Grants Committee. Michael is a passionate mineral explorer and is currently Senior Geoscientist for Stavely Minerals.
