This one-day workshop will present key learnings from AMC’s extensive international audits of mineral resource estimates. It is designed to provide new and senior geological staff with insights into best practice and common problems. Topics covered will include drill programme design and drilling, surveying, sample preparation and analytical techniques, logging and related processes, geological interpretation and domaining, geostatistics, estimation, classification, reporting, QA/QC processes, and data management.

The workshop assumes that participants have a basic understanding of the concepts of mineral resource estimation.

Presenter biographies
Peter Stoker’s expertise is in audit and due diligence of mineral resources and ore reserves, providing advice to improve standards in mine geology and investment return. He has a wide commodity exposure across base and precious metals, and industrial minerals. He is the immediate past Chairman of the Joint Ore Reserves Committee.
Mark Berry’s expertise is in mining geology, resource and reserve estimation and assessment, exploration and mining project due diligence, geological risk management, and valuation. His experience includes operations, project and financial management, safety, and education and training across a broad commodity focus.
Alex’s expertise as a geologist is in geological modelling, resource estimation, statistics, and geostatistics as well as technical audits, reviews, and due diligence. His experience includes exploration, mining, technical support, and consulting across a variety of metal commodities and geological settings.
