Talk

Discovery of the Giant Kasiya Rutile-Graphite Deposit in Malawi

By Dr Julian Stephens
Managing Director, Sovereign Metals Limited

This is the first ever technical presentation on the Tier 1 Kasiya rutile-graphite deposit in Malawi which is the largest natural rutile resource in the world and also the second largest flake graphite resource in the world.

Kasiya is a grassroots mineral discovery established using scientific first principles in a previously poorly understood geological environment. The talk will focus on the discovery techniques, geology, unconventional mineralisation style and unique economic minerals associations in this giant ore deposit.
