Predictive mapping of regolith properties with implications for mineral exploration

1 CPD HourGeoscience Australia Public Talk Series

The use of digital soil and regolith mapping techniques has been pioneered by Dr John Wilford at Geoscience Australia. This approach extends traditional soil and surface mapping techniques beyond field-based point observations to systematically incorporating the use of spatially continuous, remote-sensed datasets such as digital elevation models, radiometrics, Landsat imagery and aeromagnetics.
