QUT Natural Resource Society is calling out to all its industry friends and acquaintances to attend a lively speed networking event at QUT. Our cohort consists of roughly 75% Geoscience Majors and 25% Environmental/Ecology majors.
We’re petitioning as many industry representatives to attend so that student/industry numbers are as even as possible; which hopefully makes for a relaxed and insightful evening where students and industry can network. Please pass this information on to anyone you think would be interested.
We’re asking that geologists, geophysicists, environmental scientists and even HR! to share their insight into the industry, their position & role, and any tips that they can give to students for better job applications or just any piece of information that you wish someone had told you before going out into the workplace. We don’t mind blatant marketing of your company nor blatant honesty!
We hope barriers will be broken down, mentor relationships established and new friendships formed, all in a lively social setting!
