The Assessment and Remediation Process: the relationship between RAP, Tender, Contract and Remediation Outcome

This forum, presented by ALGA’s Queensland-Brisbane branch  (with an earlier than normal start time) will present perspectives on a range of questions including:

  • What is the purpose of a RAP and what must be in it and what could be in it?
  • Is the RAP a remediation design?
  • If I have an approved RAP, will I get the remediation outcome I want?
  • What are the options from contracting a remediation project and how do they relate to what’s in the RAP?
  • What are the options for managing consultant and contractor input to the remediation process?

ALGA invites AIG members to come and listen to thoughts and opinions from a range of expert stakeholders on this fascinating topic.

The forum will feature presentations from:

  • Jim Soltau, – a Contaminated Land Auditor, Jim Soltau & Associates;
  • John Hunt – Technical Services Manager with Thiess Services a Remediation Contractor; and
  • Peter Osmand – the Project Director for the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust Platypus Gasworks Remediation.

The presentations will be followed by a Q&A panel session, giving forum attendees an opportunity to debate and delve further into the issues raised by the presenters.

As always, drinks and nibbles will be provided during networking sessions before and after the forum.

Not one to be missed – note NO ACCESS after 5pm – no exceptions!
